The Pikes Peak Flyfishers (PPF) is a friendly group of fly fishing men and women who share their love for the sport. Our club is an affiliated chapter of the Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF), an international organization dedicated to education, conservation and restoration to advance the sport of fly fishing. Members of PPF are not required to join the FFF, however, we encourage them to do so. We meet once a month at 7:00 PM on the first Wednesday of the month at The Retired Enlisted Association, 834 Emory Circle, Colorado Springs. Our membership includes all experience levels and newcomers to the sport are especially welcome.
CLICK HERE for a map to the monthly meeting location. The Retired Enlisted Association is between Galley and Platte just east of Murray Drive.
A guest speaker is scheduled for each monthly meeting. The guests, fly fishing guides, fly shop owners, outfitters, to name a few, provide informative programs covering inside tips for fishing our local waters and other western streams and lakes, fishing tips, fly selection, equipment selection, and more.
A door prize drawing is free to club members attending each monthly meeting. Door prizes are donated by our sponsors. We encourage the membership to patronize our sponsors.
Group outings are planned during the year.
A membership badge is provided with your membership. It is to be worn at the monthly meeting. The badge allows you to get to know the other members and the existing membership to become aquainted with you.
Depending on membership interest and needs, fly tying classes, casting clinics and introductory fly fishing instruction are scheduled throughout the year at a time other than the monthly meeting.
The club's newsletter is provided as part of this Web Site each month (those that don't have access to the Web Site recieve their newsletter by U.S. Postal Service). The newsletter provides a reminder of the date of our next meeting including the guest speaker and his/her topic. Articles of interest such as fly patterns, fly tying tips, fishing techniques, and member's trips are also included. Our members submit many of these articles. We encourage our membership to participate in providing material for the newsletter.
